Scott Reeder's second solo show at CANADA brings together new paintings in several modes: portraits of dogs and skeletons doing human things, handwritten list paintings, and abstractions built from collaged studio drawings and acrylic splatter. The works nod to Matisse and Bonnard while asking, with dry humor, whether ideas belong in visual art at all. On view through October 17.
