Scott Kahn: Silent Night
Closing soon · Sep 10 – Oct 17
David Zwirner's Chelsea gallery presents a focused look at Scott Kahn's landscapes, pairing new and recent oil paintings with works from the past twenty-five years. Recurring motifs, including moons, windows and winding paths, run through scenes drawn from childhood dreams and the artist's own backyard. The precisely rendered, quietly uncanny canvases show how Kahn treats landscape as a vehicle for mood. The show closes October 17.
