Rana Begum, born in Bangladesh and based in London, has her first New York solo show at Lehmann Maupin. Her sculptures and wall works use light as both subject and material, shifting with the viewer's position. The presentation includes the Louvre series, inspired by architectural louvres, and a hanging installation of red and blue chain-link fencing. Geometric abstraction and Islamic patterns inform the work.
