Lisson Gallery · Chelsea
Field of Asura
Upcoming · Nov 4 – Jan 9
Yu Hong makes her first showing at Lisson New York with new and recent paintings. The centerpieces are large works, including multi-panel pieces modeled on the layout of classical European altarpieces, supported by mid- and small-scale canvases. Her figures convey fragility, endurance and dependence on one another, and the show links personal experience, shared history and the painting tradition through the human body.
