MoMA PS1 · Long Island City
Ancestral Dreams
On view · Jun 25
The second annual Plaza Mural at MoMA PS1 is by painter Esteban Cabeza de Baca, who lives between Queens and the Southwest. He combines Mesoamerican imagery, farm worker movement history, Liberation Theology and the Three Sisters of corn, beans and squash. The wall becomes a space linking migrant advocacy with care for the land. Open through spring 2027; admission is free.
