Eric N. Mack, who makes abstract paintings from textiles and garments, returns to Paula Cooper Gallery for his second show there. He cuts, dyes, sews and pins fabric, then pairs it with custom stainless-steel armatures. Freestanding and wall-based works sit alongside a site-responsive installation, with sheer mesh and printed cloth hanging from the ceiling to steer visitors' movement. It's an opportunity to see painting stretched into the room. Through October 24.
