Double Vision

Maia Ruth Lee's second solo show at Tina Kim Gallery takes its title from Homi Bhabha's idea of the migrant's "double vision," seeing the place left and the place inhabited at once. It brings together new suitcase-themed paintings, latex sculptures, a video installation built from her family's home footage, and steel glyphs made from salvaged New York fragments. It runs through October 24.
