This 3rd-floor show looks at what Roy Lichtenstein was working on in 1997, the year he died at 73. Drawing largely on the Whitney's collection, it gathers material related to two mural commissions, large sculptures and a new print series, some of them left unfinished. It highlights his widening palette, outline-free images and interest in early digital technology. It runs alongside the larger Lichtenstein: Like New on the 5th floor.
