Converse Japan is releasing a new All Star variant, the Pointed Toe Volume Fur Slip OX, on October 16 through its online shop. It moves away from the brand's classic canvas look and leans into cold-weather dressing.

The shoe drops the laces entirely. It is a slip-on with a narrow, pointed toe box, and the upper is made from thick faux fur set against glossy leather. That contrast of textures is the main visual idea, and the slip-on build means it goes on without any fuss.

It comes in two colors, black and brown. The brown shown on the official page is called Wolf Brown, and the long pile of the fur is easy to see in the product photos. The price is ¥11,000, roughly $70.

The shoe is sold on Converse Japan's official online shop. For Japanese-speaking New Yorkers who follow what the brand is doing at home, its silhouette sits somewhere between a sneaker and a loafer, which gives it a different place in a winter wardrobe than the standard high-top.
