The Row has added a dedicated vintage page, Galerie – Desert Vintage, to its online Galerie. It is made in partnership with Desert Vintage, the shop on Orchard Street on the Lower East Side, and presents garments drawn from that store's archive.
Ten pieces are listed. For readers with an eye on Japanese design, the standout is a belted dress by Yohji Yamamoto from 2000. Around it sit two Mariano Fortuny gowns with Murano glass beading, one from the 1900s and a Delphos silk gown from 1930, plus a 1930 silk chiffon caftan by Madame Grès and a 1980 silk shell coat by Zoran. The remainder leans toward the early twentieth century: a hammered metal coat from Egyptian Assuit (1920), a handmade lace lamé tunic (1920), a flocked velvet shawl (1900), a quilted silk velvet coat (1900s) and an antique cotton caftan (1920), all by unnamed makers.
Each listing carries the line "In partnership with Desert Vintage," and every piece is marked "Price upon request." The Row's Galerie menu now has two entries, Objects and Vintage, and this page is the latter.
The page went live on October 13, 2026. It is an online-only showing, so you can browse all ten pieces from home and inquire about any that catch your eye. It is a rare chance to see museum-grade vintage presented alongside The Row's own restrained aesthetic.
