Timed to Taryn Simon's solo show at the Guggenheim, Almine Rech New York presents a group of works from her recent series Executive Orders. The photographs examine presidential orders, which let a US president change policy without legislation, by picturing related objects such as the White House pen. Simon treats these items as a kind of archaeology of the present. On view through October 21.
