Gardens in Orbit
On view · Sep 10 – Oct 24
Chilean-rooted artist Johanna Unzueta presents her second solo show at Casey Kaplan, centered on drawing. Twelve graphite and pastel works circle the gallery walls on hinges, so they can be repositioned. On the floor stand four double-sided paper works dyed with indigo, turmeric and berries, pierced and cut to let light through. Woven elements wrap the columns, and recurring circular forms treat nature as cyclical. Through October 24.
