Noguchi Museum × Ikenobo: 40 Years in New York — A Living Tradition of Flowers and Space
Upcoming · Oct 17 – Oct 18Japan
Two days only: the Noguchi Museum's Education Studio on Level C hosts about 45 ikebana arrangements by masters and members of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society's New York chapter, marking its 40th anniversary. Ikenobo, a Kyoto school over 550 years old, treats flowers as a way to read space and season. Set beside Isamu Noguchi's sculpture, the show considers balance, tension, stillness and emptiness. Free with museum admission.
