Food & Drinks

A bakery in the south of Brooklyn where you can enjoy freshly baked bread.

Baked in Brooklyn is located on the west side of Greenwood Cemetery, a historic cemetery in New York where the famous artist Basquiat is buried. There is a huge bakery at the back of the store, and you can actually see the bakery in action. They have a wide variety of breads and sandwiches, which are freshly baked and sandwiched to order. A short walk from Baked in Brooklyn takes you to the area called Sunset Park, where land prices have been rising recently, and then to the Industry City complex. In the corner of Industry City, there is an area called Japan Village, where you can find Japanese food products at Sunrise Mart and a food hall with Japanese restaurants. There are many people who travel from Manhattan to visit Japan Village. It is about a 30-minute subway ride from Manhattan, so a good course is to have breakfast at Baked in Brooklyn, do a little sightseeing at Greenwood Cemetery, go shopping at Industry City, and then return home.
