Homeroom: Artists Against the Bomb is on view at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City from September 10, 2026, through February 8, 2027. The show presents the work of Artists Against the Bomb (AATB), an international artistic campaign in support of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).
AATB was formed to back the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), the organization that received the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize for its role in developing the treaty. A growing number of countries have endorsed the TPNW, and the campaign proceeds from the conviction that real change comes through collective action and public refusal. The presentation is organized by Estudio Pedro Reyes and ICAN.
The calls to action on view cross many forms: posters, design, film, photography, literature, music, sculpture and ephemera. The exhibition gathers contributions from artists around the world, including several with existing ties to MoMA PS1: Regina José Galindo, Nani Chacón, Carlos Amorales, Frieda Toranzo Jaeger, Art & Language and Laura Anderson Barbata. New works are shown alongside these contributions.
The exhibition belongs to Homeroom, the MoMA PS1 program that gives space to collaborations with outside organizations and communities. It was organized by Elena Ketelsen González, Associate Curator, with Jolene Fernandez, Homeroom Fellow, and produced by Pedro Reyes with Isabel Deheza, Curatorial Coordinator for Artists Against the Bomb. Homeroom activations are supported by the Keith Haring Foundation.
MoMA PS1 is at 22-25 Jackson Avenue in Queens. Admission is free for all, and the museum is open from noon to 6 p.m. on the day this was written.
