Chicago photographer Melissa Ann Pinney has spent years photographing students in the city's public schools through an artist residency that began in 2018. As the young people let her closer, the portraits grew into a record of identity, community and pressing social concerns, with adolescence's joys and griefs in view. Shown in ICP's ground-floor Incubator Space, which is free to enter.
