Mark Bradford: Untitled (A–Z), 2010
On view · Through Jan 3

Mark Bradford's Untitled (A–Z), made in 2010, is a set of twenty-six works on paper, one for each letter of the English alphabet. He built them from ads collected in his South Los Angeles neighborhood, layering and sanding the posters until only fragments of their messages survive. Detached from their original purpose, the letters point toward the social and economic forces shaping local life. On view at the Studio Museum in Harlem through January 3, 2027.
