The Future Perfect, the design gallery on Great Jones Street in NoHo, has opened a new exhibition titled Use Me, I'm Fragile. The subject is glass, and the show is built around the idea of small worlds and fragile masterpieces.

Three artists are featured. Wesley Fleming, who posts as vetropod, makes fantastical insects in glass. Kiva Ford is represented by bottles and vessels of impossibly fine, slender proportions. Cesare Toffolo contributes a baroque fruit tower, a stacked tableau that treats glass as a medium for staging an entire scene.

The gallery's framing is that glass can hold entire worlds, and the three bodies of work make that case at very different scales, from insect to vessel to tower. The work is presented in conjunction with Chesterfield Gallery.

The title plays on the double life of glass as both a usable object and a delicate sculpture. The gallery sits in NoHo, an easy stop on a walk between SoHo and the East Village, and the show will suit anyone interested in contemporary glass and collectible design.
