Seaport

Tin Bilding opened in 2022 after 8 years of construction and is located in South Seaport, a former 200 year old wholesale fish market. The building was completely supervised by Michelin Chef Jean-Georges, a highly acclaimed chef from around the world. Upon entering the main entrance, one is greeted by a beautiful display of fresh fish, reminding one of the fact that this used to be a fish market. On the second floor, there are kitchen goods and ingredients, perfect for looking for souvenirs. There is also an area lined with Asian seasonings, including Korean, Thai, and Chinese seasonings, as well as Japanese miso and Rishiri kelp. The overall atmosphere has a French feel to it, as it is supervised by Jean-Georges, but you can also sense a New York feel in the lighting and hall design, making it the hottest food hall in New York right now.

Once you step out of the building, the ocean spreads out before your eyes, and you can look over the Brooklyn Bridge to DUMBO on the other side of the river. The ferry terminal is right next to the building, and you can go Governor's Island is just a short away. Furthermore, Mcnally Jacsons, a trendy bookstore in New York City, and a playgraound are within walking distance, making it possible to spend an entire day at the Seaport.
