New York is getting a new fixture on its cultural calendar. Art Week NYC makes its debut from November 11 to 14, 2026, bringing galleries, institutions and cultural spaces across the city into one shared four-day stretch.

The week is organized by three titles with deep roots in the art world: ARTnews, Art in America and Artforum. It is the first edition of the project, and it is built around the city itself rather than a single venue or fairground.

The New York Public Library is among the partners. Its involvement points to a week that reaches beyond the usual gallery and museum circuit and into one of the city's best-loved public institutions.

Because the programming is citywide, each participating gallery, institution or space presents its own offerings. For visitors, that makes the four days a good window to string together stops in neighborhoods they already know, or to try ones they don't. More information is on the official site, art-week.com.
