The Studio Museum in Harlem · Central Harlem
Geometries
On view · Through Feb 7

This group show at the Studio Museum in Harlem treats geometry as an artistic question rather than a purely mathematical one. About thirty artists, including Alma Thomas, Jack Whitten and Julie Mehretu, use line, shape and space to explore emotion, identity and form. The works span Western geometric abstraction, links to African artistic traditions, and geometry used to reshape the figure. It runs through February 7, 2027.
