FAD Market, the curated fashion, art and design pop-up, returns to Cobble Hill this weekend. The fall edition runs Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, at St. Paul, 190 Court Street in Brooklyn, from 11am to 6pm both days.

FAD describes itself as a fashion, art and design market in NYC, and it brings independent makers together under one roof for a few days each season. It's the kind of market where you can talk to the people behind the clothes, prints and objects on the tables, rather than sorting through racks of mass-produced goods.

The church sits at the Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill edge, so it's easy to fold into a weekend wander. Cafés, bakeries and small shops are close by, which makes the market a natural anchor for an afternoon out.

Vendor applications for this edition are closed, and FAD points interested makers to a waitlist. Visitor details are in the FAQ on the market's site.

The calendar keeps going after this weekend. A fall market follows at Empire Stores in Dumbo on November 7 and 8. A holiday pop-up then runs at Empire Stores from November 30 through December 20, and the holiday market returns to St. Paul on December 5–6, 12–13 and 19–20, all from 11am to 6pm. For anyone starting to think about gifts, this weekend's market is a good early look.
