BAPE and adidas are releasing a new capsule on Nov. 7, looking back at the basketball and streetwear culture of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder fronts the campaign.

The anchor is the adidas Crazy Energy+, one of adidas Basketball's newest performance silhouettes. BAPE finishes it in a metallic silver COLOR CAMO across the upper, adds a knitted "WGM" (World Gone Mad) lace overlay, and, according to House of Heat, includes two interchangeable lace options. The style code is KH8660. Press coverage also describes an adiZero Goukana (KH8096) in pink, purple and red camo with a large white STA motif on the side, though Sneaker News notes that adidas' own announcement puts the Crazy Energy+ front and center and does not mention the Goukana.

Purple runs through the apparel, drawing on BAPE's early-2000s COLOR CAMO. The standout is a black varsity jacket with purple accents, gold studs and a large chenille "World Gone Mad" graphic across the back. A reversible purple mesh hoodie carries the camo, a tonal Shark face on the hood and an all-over STA print inside. The rest of the range includes reversible Adibreak track pants, a "World Gone Mad" warm-up top, a BABY MILO T-shirt, a reversible beanie and a BABY MILO basketball bag.

The capsule goes on sale through BAPE stores, BAPE.COM, the adidas CONFIRMED app and select adidas retailers. For New Yorkers, BAPE.COM and the app are the routes named in the reports. It follows an earlier 2026 BAPE x adidas project tied to last summer's global football tournament.

For Japanese readers, the capsule is a reminder of how long BAPE, born in Tokyo, has traded on basketball and hip-hop-era streetwear references. The "World Gone Mad" slogan that appears on the shoe and apparel is a long-running BAPE motto.
