Tokyo label WACKO MARIA has reunited with British outerwear house Baracuta and American outdoor brand WILD THINGS for a fall/winter 2026 capsule built around three pieces. Rather than blending the three identities into something new, the Japanese label picked one signature garment from each partner and reworked it through fabric, insulation and its own styling codes.

The Baracuta piece is the G9 Harrington Jacket, rebuilt as a fully reversible coat. One side is a cotton and polyester blend, 58 percent cotton and 42 percent polyester, with a more traditional hand. The other side is 100 percent polyester, smoother and more synthetic. Both sides are black, so the difference lies in texture and how each fabric catches light rather than in color. Reports mention two price tiers for the jacket but do not explain what separates them.

WILD THINGS supplies the Happy Vest, a sleeveless layer with a 100 percent nylon shell and PrimaLoft insulation. It keeps the torso warm while leaving the arms free, and it can sit over a hoodie or under a heavier coat. It comes in black or gray.

The third piece is the loudest. The Leopard Faux Fur Happy Vest keeps the same PrimaLoft fill but swaps the nylon for a 100 percent polyester faux fur shell printed with leopard, one of the motifs most closely tied to WACKO MARIA. It comes in beige or pink, which turns a utilitarian vest into a statement piece.

The capsule is available now through WACKO MARIA stores, a selection of authorized retailers and the brand's online store. For readers in New York, where the label is Tokyo-based, the online store is the route listed. The collection shows how WACKO MARIA works: a black G9 and a pink leopard vest can sit in one lineup and still read as the same label's take on classics.
