Japanese label Graphpaper has teamed up with Descente on an eight-piece capsule that went on sale October 24. The pieces start from Graphpaper's own staples (coats, a jacket, trousers, shirts, tees) and are reworked with Descente's performance fabrics and construction methods. The loose proportions and plain design stay; the materials add water repellency, moisture-wicking, quick drying and stretch, depending on the piece. Highsnobiety frames it as performancewear that looks like tailoring rather than tactical gear.

The headline piece is the Wide Coat, priced at 82,500 yen according to WWD Japan. It uses a blend of New Zealand merino wool and recycled polyester that repels water, stretches and resists odor. The lining is Descente's own HEAT NAVI material, which converts light into heat, and the cuffs have adjusters that can be tightened with one hand. HEAT NAVI is also used in the trousers.

The Single Breasted Jacket (79,200 yen) and Wide Tapered Trousers (44,000 yen) use a blend of 18.5-micron fine wool and a specialty synthetic fiber. Bonded construction and seam tape keep stitching from showing on the surface.

Two shirts, the Skipper Shirt and the L/S Oversized Regular Collar Shirt, are 29,700 yen each. The Chef Track Pants, based on Graphpaper's staple chef pants, are 38,500 yen and cut wide through the hip and thigh. Two tees, a long-sleeve oversized crewneck and a long-sleeve mock neck, are 24,200 yen each. They feel like cotton, wick moisture, and use ultrasonic bonding and seam tape to soften the seams against skin. The two tees come in white and black; the other six pieces come in black only.

The collection is sold at Graphpaper stores including Tokyo, Aoyama, Kyoto and Sendai, at Descente Blanc Daikanyama, at selected Graphpaper stockists across Japan, and on Graphpaper's online store. Prices are as reported by WWD Japan.
