Mikimoto and Chrome Hearts have released the second installment of their jewelry collaboration, a five-piece capsule built entirely in 22k yellow gold and set with Akoya pearls and natural diamonds. The first drop, released in 2024, was centered on white gold; Complex says the switch gives the new pieces a richer, more antique look.

The lineup includes a cross pendant necklace, a bracelet combining pearl and cross motifs, a safety pin brooch, and two styles of drop earrings. The centerpiece is the 22k Gold Cross Pearl Necklace, which pairs Chrome Hearts' signature floral cross hardware with Akoya pearls and natural diamonds. Highsnobiety describes the necklace and bracelet as covered in pearls and pavé diamonds, the safety pin returning in yellow gold, and the earrings placing a Mikimoto pearl between a Chrome Hearts cross and a long golden spike.

The partnership goes back to 2020, when Jesse Jo Stark, eldest daughter of Chrome Hearts founders Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark, wanted to bring pearls into the brand's fine jewelry. Richard Stark reportedly told her, "If it's pearls, it has to be MIKIMOTO." The first release had 14 pieces, including a metal choker and drop earrings.

For a Japanese reader, the Mikimoto side is the familiar one: Kokichi Mikimoto was the first to culture pearls, in 1893, and the house is still a top name in pearls. Highsnobiety notes that Mikimoto rarely does co-branded releases; its long-running partnership with COMME des GARÇONS and a recent Onitsuka Tiger jewelry line are the other notable ones.

In New York, the collection is available at the Chrome Hearts flagship, according to Complex, which cites Hypebeast. It is also stocked at the Chrome Hearts flagships in Tokyo and London, and at Mikimoto's Ginza Main Store in Tokyo, all in extremely limited quantities. Highsnobiety notes that Chrome Hearts has not publicly announced details of the drop. No prices have been reported.
