New Balance 992 Made in USA "Medusa Green" Lands Late October, Sold in NYC and Online

New Balance is rounding out its Fall/Winter 2026 Made in USA collection with a new 992 colorway called "Medusa Green," paired with Thunder Brown. The style code is U992BB. The name nods to the gorgon of Greek myth, and the shoe is split into two earthy tones, green on top and brown below.

Most of the upper is dark green mesh. Matching overlays run across the panels, and the stitching is teal. A Thunder Brown suede mudguard covers the toe, runs along the sides and wraps around the heel. The brown carries down into the midsole and outsole, so the lower half of the shoe stays in the same earthy range. Sneaker Bar Detroit notes that the materials and construction are largely what people already know from the 992.

White laces and collar lining lighten the darker palette. The side "N" logos are outlined in white against the green, grey panels near the heel carry the 992 branding, and "USA" is stitched on the back. The tongue carries New Balance and 992 branding.

The shoe is priced at $200. It is due to release in late October 2026 on NewBalance.com and at select New Balance retailers. Reports differ on the exact day, with some citing October 27 and others October 29.

The 992 is one of the best-known models in New Balance's Made in USA range, and this is not the only 992 of the season. Highsnobiety says a leather "Afterglow" version is expected this fall, along with a "Sport Green" pair, and that several 992s have already appeared this year.
