Nike's Air Max Goadome 'Yellow Croc' Boot Lands Online for NYC Shoppers at $175
Nike's Air Max Goadome gets a mustard-yellow, croc-embossed colorway called "Yellow Croc." The waterproof-coated leather boot has lemon laces and a rear Air unit. It went on sale online October 15 for $175, with a pink version also offered.
Nike has added a loud new colorway to its Air Max Goadome, the sneaker-meets-hiking-boot silhouette. Called "Yellow Croc," it went on sale online on October 15 for $175.
The upper is a rich mustard yellow with a crocodile-print emboss. According to Highsnobiety, the leather is coated for waterproofing, so it is meant to keep feet dry and warm in cold, rainy weather. The glossy croc texture sits against the rugged, boot-like build, and the laces are a lemon yellow that carries the citrus theme through the whole pair.
Underneath, the shoe has a black rubber outsole wrapped around the single rear Air unit, a signature of the Goadome. Highsnobiety points out that the bright yellow stands out among the sea of tonal trail-style shoes, and likens the color to the yellow hatchlings of the Morelet crocodile. Nike has used crocodile print on other Air Max models before, including a pink version of the Air Max Dolce.
Hypebeast and Just Fresh Kicks also covered the release, listing it as the Air Max Goadome Low "Yellow Croc," also named Vivid Sulfur, style code IV4517-700, with an October 15 release date.
A pink colorway of the Goadome is also available. Highsnobiety describes the yellow pair as almost too nice to take hiking, which sums up the appeal: a weather-ready boot with a toy-box color and a reptile finish.
The release was online on Nike's site. Readers in New York can order it there at $175.
