Nike is bringing back the Air Jordan 6 Retro "White Infrared" on Nov. 7, timed to the 35th anniversary of the shoe's 1991 debut. It is the model Michael Jordan wore in his championship run, and this release returns to one of its original launch colorways.

Tinker Hatfield designed the AJ6, drawing on German sports cars of the era for a sleek, fast silhouette. Nike says the shape, fit and feel of this retro are true to the original.

The colorway is listed as White/Light Crimson/Black/White: a white upper with red and black accents. Nike Air branding on the heel nods to the shoe's championship roots. The upper is premium leather, the cushioning is Max Air with Nike Air technology, and there is a pull tab on the heel. The style number is CT8529-105.

The price is $215. The shoe is sold on Nike.com and through the Nike app, where signing in to a free Nike Member account gives a chance to buy at the moment of release. Members get free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more and free 60-day returns, and pickup is available at select Nike stores.

Nike and Jordan Brand both operate stores in New York City, so shoppers who prefer to buy in person can look for a location near them. With the holiday gift season approaching, this is a release many local sneaker fans will want to plan around.
