NYC Sneaker Drop: NEIGHBORHOOD x Converse ALL STAR LGCY Hi Returns After Seven Years
Tokyo label NEIGHBORHOOD and Converse reunite for the first time in seven years on an aged, distressed ALL STAR LGCY Hi with a cord cloth upper, releasing November 9.

NEIGHBORHOOD, the Japanese streetwear label, and Converse are teaming up on a sneaker for the first time in seven years. The model is the ALL STAR LGCY Hi, and it goes on sale November 9.
The defining feature is the finish. The shoe is aged and distressed so that it looks as if it has already been worn for years. The upper is made of cord cloth, and the black colorway carries the worn-in character across the whole pair. Converse's Japanese online shop lists the shoe with a series of photographs showing it from several angles.
The base is the LGCY line, Converse's modern take on the ALL STAR lineage. It keeps the familiar high-top silhouette and layers on the rough, lived-in texture that NEIGHBORHOOD is known for. The result is a pair that arrives new but reads like a vintage find.
The sneaker will be sold through NEIGHBORHOOD and Converse retailers. For New Yorkers who follow Japanese streetwear and sneaker culture, this is a collaboration with real history behind it, since the two brands have not worked together in years. Anyone who wants a distressed high-top should mark November 9 on the calendar.
