NYC Sneaker Drop: Salomon XT-MM6 Maison Margiela Arrives in Green

Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela's collaborative XT-MM6 sneaker goes on sale October 22. It is a hybrid: the bones of a trail shoe, tuned for city wear, with a subtle "6" marking on the sole.

The green version is Scarab / Bistro Green / Green Milieu. Two other colorways are offered, Tapioca / Sea Foam / Violet Tulip and Vanilla Ice / Ftw Silver / Lemon. The shoe is unisex and costs $495.

Salomon describes the design as a flipped take on the classic XT, with overlays that play down conventional sneaker styling in favor of a more refined look. The upper is textile and synthetic, and the outsole uses Road contaGRIP rubber, with flat, wide lugs made for hard, flat surfaces. An agileCHASSIS works with the EnergyCell midsole for stability and cushioning, while an OrthoLite sockliner adds comfort. The endoFit sleeve and sensiFIT construction hug the foot for a snug fit. The drop is 10 mm and a single shoe weighs 12 oz.
