NYC Winter Sneaker Pick: Nike Zoom Vomero Roam "Sequoia" Is Out Now at $190

Nike has added a new colorway, "Sequoia," to its winterized Zoom Vomero Roam. The shoe splits dark purple and black, and the listing names the full palette as Sequoia/Black/Medium Olive/Black. It went on sale October 31 at Nike.com for $190.

The Roam is pitched as a shoe for city conditions and wet weather. Durable materials and a rubber mudguard are meant to keep dirt and puddles off the shoe, while a chunky foam midsole gives it visible cushioning and a bold profile.

The details are practical. The upper layers textile and mesh for a breathable fit. A lace toggle with a hook holds the adjustment in place. Nike Air Zoom units provide cushioning, and the outsole uses HART (High Abrasion Rubber Tech), which Nike says uses less rubber than its XDR compounds without giving up durability, making the sole lighter and more flexible. Pull tabs and reflective details round out the design.
