NYC Winter Sneakers: Jordan Winterized 6 Rings Arrives Online at $200

Jordan Brand has put out the Jordan Winterized 6 Rings, a cold-weather version of the Air Jordan 6 Rings. It went on sale November 6 at Nike.com for $200, in men's sizing.

The 6 Rings line pulls details from the many Air Jordans Michael Jordan wore during his championship seasons. This pair draws on the AJ6, AJ7, AJ8, AJ11, AJ12 and AJ13, then adds features meant for winter weather.

Those include a chunky outsole tread, a thick interior lining and sturdy textiles on the upper. The shoe has a mid-cut collar, classic laces and reflective details, with leather, synthetic leather and textile in the upper. A Zoom Air unit in the heel provides lightweight, responsive cushioning, a foam midsole adds stability, and the rubber outsole is built for durability and traction. A heel tab makes it easy to slip on and off.

The colorway is Cobalt Blue, Anthracite, Vast Grey and Varsity Maize, style number IX8456-479. With its boot-like build, it suits New York's slushy, cold months for commuting and walking around the city.
