The Japanese retailer BEAMS is marking its 50th anniversary with a special collaboration with Red Wing, a 10-piece collection of two boots, apparel and accessories. In Japan it went on sale October 30 at BEAMS label stores nationwide and on the BEAMS online shop, and from November 6 it reaches all Red Wing Shoe Stores there. Red Wing Heritage's official Instagram confirmed the collection and said select styles will be available soon in the US at RedWing.com, which is the route for New York shoppers.

The lead piece is the 6ROUND ORo-Russet 95 #9872. It revives the green half-circle dog tag seen on the tongue of Irish Setters from roughly 1995 to 1997, paired with deep reddish-brown Oro-Russet leather, yellowish laces and a white sole. It is built on the classic 6-inch round-toe. Press reports list it at 58,850 yen in sizes 7 to 11.

The second boot is the Round Toe Hawthorne "Abilene" Roughout #9882, a sand-beige roughout version that also carries the half-circle dog tag, also at 58,850 yen.

The apparel uses braided trim modeled on boot laces. The Cap Shoulder Blouson (52,800 yen) is a padded, wide-fit bomber inspired by 1960s work jackets, made from military Oxford fabric with diamond quilting. The crew-neck sweatshirt (20,900 yen, two colors) uses Japanese-made brushed fleece, with layered foam printing that mimics the raised embroidery of a vintage souvenir jacket. Two T-shirts (12,100 yen each) carry a foam-printed wing logo or a back graphic of two pairs of boots.

Accessories include a trucker cap with the wing logo (8,800 yen), all-over-print bandanas (2,530 yen), a rubber key holder (1,980 yen) and a mug in the Oro-Russet color palette (2,970 yen). The project was led by BEAMS buyer Subaru Iizuka and is the first installment of the series "BEAMS at 50: 15 People, Things, and Moments." Prices above are Japanese retail prices from press reports.
