Japanese menswear label Soshiotsuki has teamed up with Asics on a special collaboration shoe built on the Skyhand OG. The run is limited to 50 pairs worldwide, and it went on sale at 9:00 AM JST on October 29 through the Soshiotsuki online store.

The label's own photographs show a cream suede upper with a napped, slightly rough finish, black leather Asics stripes along the sides, and a reddish gum rubber sole. SKYHAND is stitched on the heel panel, an embroidered Asics logo sits at the back, and the collar lining has a ribbed, corduroy-like texture. The heel tab is a horizontally ribbed leather piece.

The most distinctive element is a black leather cover that sits over the laces. It is embossed with the SOSHIOTSUKI name and tied with slim black laces. A small round metal charm hangs near the eyelets. It is a sporty court shoe with one decorative twist that reads as the label's own.

Purchases are capped at one pair per person. Soshiotsuki says that any multiple purchase, including those caused by system errors, misuse of several accounts, or repeat orders from the same person or address, will have all of its orders cancelled.

The release follows the label's Spring/Summer 2027 collection, "The Persistence of Memory," whose credits list Asics Sportstyle among the collaborators. Reported pricing is about $244, or ¥38,500. The shoe is sold online only, so New York readers would have had to order through the Soshiotsuki store rather than visit a shop.
