Tokyo's FreshService Releases Pertex Quantum Puffers, Available Online to NYC

Tokyo lifestyle brand FreshService has released a fall-winter series built around Pertex Quantum, a lightweight, wind-resistant fabric. The pieces went on sale in two drops, Saturday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, each at noon, in stores and on the brand's online store at the same time.

The first drop brought back four styles made with Pertex Quantum Air, a hit last year, and adds a new grey. The outer fabric is paired with Primaloft insulation. There is a zip-up stand-collar blouson (¥35,200) and a snap-front collarless jacket (¥33,000), along with a trapper cap (¥9,900) and a scarf (¥6,600) in the same material. Colors are grey and black, and a size small has been added for the first time. All prices include tax.

The second drop, on Oct. 17, is a down series in stand-collar and hooded versions. Natural down is blended with polyester fibers, so the jackets keep their warmth more easily when wet and can be washed. Pertex Quantum's water repellency and wind resistance carry over, which makes them suitable for city wear and winter outdoor use. The down jacket costs ¥48,400 and the hooded version ¥57,200, in sizes M and L. Colors are dark grey, black and teal blue, the shade the brand calls the signature of this season.

The brand's popular cube bag also comes in the same down fabric, in three sizes: small (¥11,000), medium (¥12,100) and large (¥13,200). The size options let it work as an everyday bag, a travel bag or a styling accent.
