Prospect Heights

Brooklyn's best American pie store.

This pie specialty restaurant opened in Brooklyn in 2010. The pies, made from a recipe passed down from their grandmother by two sisters from the American Southwest, are all exquisite! The pies have been featured in the New York Times since the opening and have even won the Artisan of the Year award. The Salt Caramel Pie and Salty Honey Pie, both made with apples, are representative pies, but the Matcha Pie and Hojicha Pie, made in collaboration with Ippodo, a long-established Japanese tea brand, are also very popular. They also make great souvenirs for home parties.

Innovative bagel store breathing new life into the New York bagel world

LEON'S BAGELS opened at the end of 2023 along Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg and quickly became a popular store with long lines of customers every day. With a clean white exterior and a simple, yet striking green logo under the eaves, it is hard to believe that this is a bagel store, but the store has a sophisticated appearance. The first store opened in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, and a second store opened soon after in Williamsburg. The name LEON, which is also used in the store name, was inspired by the owner's grandfather, who valued community. The store's theme is "Nothing Fancy," based on the belief that only simple and delicious bagels can unite people, and stylish original goods such as key chains, caps, and tote bags with the words "Nothing Fancy" designed on them are also available for sale.
