Williamsburg

Colorful cafe with macarons

Rather than a commercial cafe, MAISON du TSURU has an atmosphere reminiscent of a home-like kitchen. Tucked away on a quiet street in East Williamsburg, it's a spot that even those in the neighborhood might not know of, but the bright-colored exterior is very inviting and the staff is exceedingly warm and friendly. They serve La Colombe beans and have a small selection of sweets and pastries, like macarons.

Innovative bagel store breathing new life into the New York bagel world

LEON'S BAGELS opened at the end of 2023 along Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg and quickly became a popular store with long lines of customers every day. With a clean white exterior and a simple, yet striking green logo under the eaves, it is hard to believe that this is a bagel store, but the store has a sophisticated appearance. The first store opened in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, and a second store opened soon after in Williamsburg. The name LEON, which is also used in the store name, was inspired by the owner's grandfather, who valued community. The store's theme is "Nothing Fancy," based on the belief that only simple and delicious bagels can unite people, and stylish original goods such as key chains, caps, and tote bags with the words "Nothing Fancy" designed on them are also available for sale.
