The International Center of Photography's shop has introduced "From Japan, With Love," a curated collection built around the museum's new exhibition, "I'm So Happy You Are Here: Japanese Women Photographers from the 1950s to Now." ICP announced it on November 5. The idea is to extend the show beyond the galleries by highlighting Japanese photography, art and design in a retail setting. The core of the collection is photobooks by artists featured in the exhibition, including Kawauchi Rinko, Sugiura Kunié and Ishiuchi Miyako. One example is Kawauchi's Illuminance, priced at $65. ICP describes it as a poetic book of keenly observed gestures, everyday details and a finely honed palette. This expanded ten-year anniversary edition keeps the original sequence and adds texts that give new context and perspectives on her work. Ishiuchi Miyako's Traces, published by Aperture, also appears among the collection's images. Alongside the books, the shop is selling Japanese-made ceramics, textiles and other objects. The shop's own page frames the selection as books by Japanese women photographers from the 1950s to now, together with objects celebrating Japanese culture. Items can be explored in person at ICP or bought online, and international shipping is available. For readers in Japan, the shop's site lists Japan among its shipping regions with yen pricing. ICP members receive 10% off all shop purchases and 20% off on dedicated shopping days, plus free museum admission and other benefits through the year. The exhibition itself remains on view until January 11, 2027, so the shop collection runs alongside it for visitors who want to take a piece of the show home.
