Porsche presented the Mission S Vision Model on October 15, 2026, on a pier in Queens, New York. It is the same spot where the 1953 Porsche 550 Spyder made its US debut, a deliberate nod to the brand's American history.

The concept previews a future limited-edition, mid-engined halo car that will sit above the 911. Porsche hopes to put it into production before the end of the decade. No powertrain or performance figures have been released. The show car appears in Firn White Metallic, Light Red Metallic and Black Chrome.

Porsche describes the design as authentic, consequent and timeless. The mid-engine layout gives a low, wide stance and a pronounced Flyline. A wraparound main line ties the front and rear light signatures together, while torpedo-style fenders reinterpret historic Porsche shapes. At the rear, an exposed lightweight fan wheel aids cooling and nods to the 917 racer. The wheels develop the dial-style design of the 928.

Inside, the focus is the driver. A digital rev counter with an analogue needle sits at the centre, surrounded by round instruments that rearrange with the selected driving mode. A red steering-wheel button activates an "On your own" mode that switches off driver assistance systems. Other details include an aluminium key, a height-adjustable gear lever, and sport seats with the belt buckle integrated into the centre panel.
