The Future Perfect's New York gallery at 55 Great Jones Street in NoHo is showing Use Me, I'm Fragile, a group exhibition devoted to glass. It runs through October 23.
The show treats glass as both a material and a conceptual territory: a medium rooted in craft that keeps trading ideas with art and design. Glass is usually read as delicate, and the exhibition uses that reputation to question what strength and utility really mean. Is an object "used" through physical action, emotional attachment, ritual, or simple suggestion? Moving between decor, sculpture and functional design, the works ask why people grow attached to objects at all, and propose that fragility is less a weakness than a condition that calls for attention and care.
Twenty-five artists and studios take part. Lighting includes Lindsey Adelman's Illuminated Mobile 15 (2023) and Serpentine Pendants (2026), Rogan Gregory's Zooid light sculptures, Bethan Laura Wood's Barbarella Single Pendant, and Lucia Massari's Millefiori sconce and table lamps. Furniture and larger pieces include John Hogan's Cast Slab Construction works, Chen Chen & Kai Williams's Geology Coffee Table 01 (2026) and Rafi Ajl's Chucker XL 2.
Smaller objects fill out the range: David Valner's Parasitica vases and oil lamps, Sophie Lou Jacobsen's Cardinal Centerpiece Bowl, Kiva Ford's vases, Nancy Callan's Nipple Balls, Wesley Fleming's insect forms, Bernard Heesen & Nienke Sikkema's animal-themed drinking glasses, and Studio Rens's Glass Ensemble Mirror. Michiko Sakano is represented by Sakano 6.
Prices are listed and span a wide band, from $250 for a Kiva Ford vase and $360 for Heesen & Sikkema glasses to $85,000 for Gregory's Zooid Hanging Light Sculpture. Several works have already sold. Other participants include Alexis and Ginger, Bocci, Jonny Campolo, Katherine Gray, Peter Hermansson, In Common With, Jillian Mayer / Mayer Objects, Cesare Toffolo, Chris Wolston and Thaddeus Wolfe.
