The Gottesman Rink at the Davis Center, at the north end of Central Park, starts its skating season with an Opening Day Celebration on November 1. The Davis Center's skate page says skating season "returns to Central Park's north end" this November.

The rink sits against the backdrop of the Harlem Meer, and the Davis Center describes it as a neighborhood hub for winter fun. Its stated aim is inclusive programs, from ice skating to hockey, that inspire, educate and connect New Yorkers of all ages.

Four programs are listed on the page. Learn to Skate offers 30-minute group lessons for every age and skill level, from tots to adults, in what the center calls a relaxed and supportive setting. Community Skate is the general session that marks the north end of the park as officially open for winter fun. The hockey programming is meant for people new to the rink as well as those who want to level up, at any skill level. Figure skating covers everything from a first time on the ice to perfecting jumps and spins, with expert instruction, coaching and practice time.

The center publishes a set of rink rules for skating safely this season. Its FAQ page covers hours, programs and amenities, and a full calendar is on the site. Questions, feedback and event bookings go through the Contact Us page.

The Davis Center is at 106-51 East Drive, New York, NY 10026. The phone number is 212-310-6600.
