Nets, without Yuta Watanabe, lose to the Sixers missing Harden and other key players.
Nets vs 76ers | Nov.22, 22
Nets, who have won two straight, played away against Sixers, who were without their mainstays Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyreke Maxxie due to injury. Nets are without Yuta Watanabe, who had been scoring in double figures for four straight games, due to injury. Ben Simmons got the start in his first Wells Fargo Center game since joining Nets. With loud boos echoing every time he had the ball, Nets got off to a good start with a series of assists by Simmons, but they soon lost pace and trailed by six points, 57-63, in the first half.
The third quarter saw Nets briefly pull away, but Travis Harris made a crucial pull-up jumper with four seconds left to put Sixers up 85-82 heading into the final quarter. However, turnovers early in the fourth quarter led to a quick lead and a 106-115 loss.
They had 9-15 turnovers for the game and a 47-29 bench point differential, which was the reason for the loss.
Kevin Dirant had just passed Michael Jordan's record last time out with 25 points in 17 games to start the season until this day, but the record was stopped. Ben Simmons had 11 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds. Travis Harris scored 24 points for the Sictors.
Nets will play the Raptors tomorrow at Afay.
