Nets, Kevin Durant's 26 points in the third quarter alone, and consecutive come-from-behind win!
Nets vs Pistons | Dec.18, 22
The Nets, who are 9-1 in their last 10 games, played the Detroit Pistons on the road. The Nets had trouble rebounding and were outscored by up to 19 points in the first half, 54-71, by the Pistons, who played a solid game with 58.7% FG and only 2 turnovers. In the second half, Kevin Durant's engine was in full force, scoring a career-high 26 points in the third quarter alone. In the fourth quarter, the Nets continued to extend their lead with back-to-back points from Kyrie, but with 39 seconds left in the quarter, they found themselves down by one point. Claxton blocked a 3-pointer by Bojan Bogdanović with 3 seconds left to end the game, and the Nets won their second consecutive game 124-121.
Kevin Durant scored 43 points and Kyrie Irving added 38.
With the return of T.J. Warren and Yuta Watanabe and the depth of their bench, the Nets have recently developed a diverse rotation and improved their balance as a team.
The Nets will next face the Golden State Warriors without Steph Curry and then the Milwaukee Bucks.
