Roebling Rink Opens Nov. 14 Under the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn Bridge Park, NYC

Roebling Rink, the open-air ice rink at Brooklyn Bridge Park, opens its season on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, and skates daily through Jan. 31, 2027. It sits at Emily Warren Roebling Plaza, directly under the Brooklyn Bridge, with the skyline and waterfront around the ice. The park itself runs the rink.

Opening day starts with free admission to the first two sessions, 10:30 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 2 p.m. Free tickets are limited and are offered online. Free programming runs alongside: holiday movie screenings throughout the day, arts and crafts with the park's education team from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Brooklyn Museum's Museum on Wheels from noon to 4 p.m. In the evening, drag queen and figure skating champion Milk performs and joins the 6:30 to 8 p.m. skating session, followed by a festive set from the New York City Gay Men's Chorus from 8 to 8:30 p.m.

Each ticket buys one hour on the ice, counted from check-in. You can arrive at any point in your booked 90-minute session block and will get a wristband marking your skating group. Skate rental is $8, and helmets and "Skate Buddies" skating aids are $5 each, all bookable with tickets in advance, though sizes are first come, first served. Lockers rent for $5, and free cubbies sit under the benches in the tent. Bags and handheld items are not allowed on the ice, and outside food, alcohol and pets are prohibited; water is fine.

Residents of the five boroughs get discounted tickets, applied automatically at checkout, and groups of 10 or more can request a discount. A waiver must be acknowledged during checkout. Lessons, private or group, are offered with Fireworks Skating Academy on select Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday sessions; admission is included, skates are extra. Tickets are final sale but can be rescheduled up to five hours before the slot, and weather or mechanical closures are rescheduled through the confirmation email.
