The 11th Brooklyn Horror Film Festival ran from October 15 to 22 at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, at 136 Metropolitan Ave. The eight-day event is a fixture of the pre-Halloween calendar for horror fans across the borough.

The final day, October 22, included a screening of Corpus. Two other titles, Kick On and Rubberhead, were sold out. Few festivals can claim a closing night where the seats go before the doors open.

After the films, the festival moved to Lo-Res Bar for a costume party sponsored by ALTER. It was free to attend and began at 8 PM, giving audiences a chance to dress up and mark the end of the run together.
The festival's website carried the 2026 program and a page for buying badges, with the schedule and ticketing handled through Eventive.
This year's edition is over, but the festival has now reached its eleventh year, which says something about the appetite for horror on a big screen in New York each October. Genre films tend to travel well across languages, so it's an easy festival for Japanese-speaking film fans in the city to put on next year's calendar.
