Artist CJ Hendry's Flower Market is open in Brooklyn for three days, October 17 through 19, at 279 Calyer Street. Doors are open from 10am to 6pm each day.

The terms are simple. Entry is free, and so is your first flower. Every additional stem costs $4. Hendry announced the Brooklyn dates on Instagram on October 15 and posted a thank-you to visitors on October 17.

This edition is set in a Brooklyn warehouse. According to her posts, the space sits directly beneath her studio. Photos she shared show rows of white crates packed with flowers sorted by color: reds, pinks, purples, yellows, deep burgundy blooms and pale blue ones, running across a large concrete floor under exposed pipes.

Her posts also explain how this one came together. She wrote that a different flower market had to be shut down because of bad weather, and that a new one was built just three weeks later. The crew can be seen stacking crates in the warehouse in the setup photos.

Hendry describes the project as a public art concept. In a late-September post she shared a photo from the very first Flower Market, taken two years ago when she was 36 weeks pregnant with her daughter Cleo. She said a lot can change in two years and thanked everyone who has supported it.

For Japanese readers, the format may feel unusual: instead of a florist's stall, it is an art installation you walk through, and you leave with a flower in hand at no cost. It runs for only three days, with no entry fee.
