Comedy Spillage, a long-running stand-up showcase, reached its tenth anniversary on Sunday, October 18, with a night at Slate, the multi-level club and event space at 54 W 21st St in Chelsea. The organizers describe the series as a "grown and sexy" comedy night, and this edition marked its return after a pause during the covid years. The official title was "10-Year Anniversary & Libra Birthday Celebration," and the show's website carried a sold-out bill for the evening.

The series was created by Trevor Bonner of Bonnerfied Entertainment, with his longtime friend Craig Foy of CSF Enterprises as associate executive producer. The anniversary doubled as a celebration of both producers' birthdays and Libra season. Bonner's own bio describes more than 25 years in entertainment, nightlife and fitness, including time at TVT Records and with Ruff Ryders. He met host Shawn Cornelius in a comedy club a couple of years before the show took shape.

Doors opened at 5pm, the stand-up ran from 6:30 to 8pm, and an after-party followed from 8 to 10:30pm, with DJ Xcel handling the music once the comedy ended.
