The Frick Collection opens its doors for free on the first Friday evening of most months, under the name Louis Vuitton First Fridays. The next one is Friday, Dec. 4, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., at 1 East 70th Street on the Upper East Side.

Visitors can walk through the permanent galleries and the special exhibitions after regular hours. The program also includes drinks and bites, talks, and live music in the Garden Court. It is a chance to see this mansion museum in a quieter, evening setting.

The series runs on the first Friday of each month except January and September. Louis Vuitton is sponsoring it as Principal Cultural Sponsor from June 2026 through May 2027.

Admission is free. Timed tickets are encouraged, but walk-up visitors are welcome, and Frick members don't need a ticket. Only children ages 10 and older are admitted.

Accessibility services are in place. All public areas are wheelchair accessible, and every gallery talk offers free assistive listening devices. Live ASL interpretation for talks is available on request with two weeks' notice; requests go to accessibility@frick.org.

With the holiday season under way and Central Park close by, the evening pairs well with a winter walk. A timed ticket will help if you want to avoid a wait at the door.
