& Juliet, the pop musical that retells Romeo and Juliet through Max Martin hits, will play its final Broadway performance on Jan. 3, 2027. The show is at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, 124 West 43rd Street, in the Theater District.
The premise starts with a simple question: what if Juliet didn't end it all over Romeo? She rewrites her own ending and goes after a second chance. Along the way the score pulls from pop anthems including "Since U Been Gone," "Roar," "Can't Stop the Feeling" and "...Baby One More Time." The book comes from an Emmy-winning writer of Schitt's Creek.
The cast is turning over as the run enters its last stretch. Queens-born Tichina Arnold joins as the nurse on Nov. 3 and stays through closing. Aly Michalka makes her debut as Anne the same day. Joey Fatone's last performance as Lance is Nov. 1, so the lineup you see will depend on the date you pick.
Tickets for the 7:00 PM performance on Oct. 29 were listed from $103, with tiers running up to $333.50 for premium seats. Several categories were already sold out for that evening, and only a single seat remained in the $133 tier. With a closing date set, availability is likely to tighten toward January.
For New Yorkers, the Arnold casting adds a local note: a Queens native in a role she'll play until the curtain falls. And since the songs are ones most people already know, it is an easy musical to enjoy even if you are still getting used to English-language theater.
